Position Goals:

Working alongside Community Living Mississauga support staff at the University of Toronto, Mississauga Campus, volunteers will support young adults who have an intellectual disability to participate in activities on Campus that meet their personal goals and experience various aspects of university life.


Community on Campus is a partnership program between Community Living Mississauga and the University of Toronto – Mississauga. Community on Campus is designed to provide an opportunity for young adults who have an intellectual disability to participate in activities of their choice on Campus. These activities could include but are not limited to auditing classes, enhancing literacy skills, volunteering, increasing physical fitness, socializing with friends, joining clubs, and developing computer skills. Individualized schedules are created based on the goals of each participant.

  • Must be a student at the University of Toronto at Mississauga (UTM)
  • Virtual interview with the Manager of Volunteer Services
  • Three references
  • Vulnerable Sector Police Check
  • Proof of double vaccination against COVID-19
  • Orientation and Training
  • Willing to volunteer a minimum of one hour a month/week for at least one semester (or 12 weeks)
