As you are aware, over the past week, some regions under the Red-Control level have continued to see worsening trends in key indicators, despite having a range of public health measures and restrictions in place since early October. Based on the latest data, the government has moved the Region of Peel into Lockdown effective Monday, November 23, 2020 at 12:01 a.m.

What does this mean for Community Living Mississauga?

  • We will be discontinuing in person supports through all of our base site locations.
  • Head Office will be closed and limited to essential work as required and employees will continue to work remotely.
  • Although family visits are discouraged at this time, Community Living Mississauga will continue to facilitate visits away from a person’s home.
  • Overall, we need to mitigate the risk of exposure as much as possible. People we support will be advised of the required lockdown measures and that there are strict limitations to community engagement.

We need to continue to reinforce the stringent protocols we have in place regarding PPE, social distancing, masks and handwashing. Every measure we have implemented reflects the health safety and well- being of the people we support and our employees. We must all do our part to limit the spread of this virus.

The lockdown measures will remain in place until further advisement from the province.

Throughout this whole time our loyal and dedicated employees have contributed to the organizations success.

We are also so grateful to families for your ongoing support and appreciate your understanding as we continue to push through these challenges together!

Resilience and strength together!
