Position Goals
Working alongside Community Living Mississauga employees, volunteers will support teens who have an intellectual disability to take part in a variety of recreational activities across the Mississauga community, promoting participation and inclusion while having FUN.
Position Description
- Volunteers commit to volunteering for at least one week in the summer (Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.). If you are interested, you may volunteer for more than one week.
- Under the supervision of Community Living Mississauga employees, volunteers will encourage, support, and mentor youth ages 13 to 21 as they participate in recreational activities throughout Mississauga.
- You will start and finish your day at one of three Mississauga Community Centres

Position Requirements
- Minimum Age: 15 and finishing up Grade 10
- Attend a virtual interview.
- Provide three personal references (references can be anyone outside of your family, aged 18+, who can speak to your character).
- Sign a Volunteer Agreement and Confidentiality Form.
- Follow the Volunteer Policies and Procedures.
- Attend a 2-hour virtual Orientation and Training Session.
- If you are over 18, a Vulnerable Sector Police Check is required. (Reimbursement will be provided)
