At just 21 years of age, Chris Nikic has become the first person with Down syndrome to complete an Ironman triathlon after crossing the finish line last Saturday at an Ironman Florida event. Despite falling off his bike and being attacked by ants, Nikic persevered to complete the historic feat in a gruelling 16 hours 46 minutes and 9 seconds.
