More than 600 people helped raise over $255,000 at Community Living Mississauga’s 2026 Tribute Dinner honouring Mississauga Mayor, Carolyn Parrish on March 12th at Le Treport Wedding & Convention Centre.
“Mayor Carolyn Parrish’s legacy is defined by her passion and her advocacy for fairness and equity,” said Marek Ruta, Chair of the 2026 Tribute Dinner Planning Committee. “It was our distinct pleasure to honour Mayor Parrish, as she is a true champion of initiatives that make Mississauga a vibrant, inclusive, and forward-thinking city.”
In addition to a wonderful meal, the evening was filled with performances by guitarist Perdo Joel, as well as stories from guest speakers, Kirtina Fex, Chief Executive Officer of Hospice Mississauga and George Carlson, Mayor Parrish’s Senior Advisor.
Tyra Lee Fernandez, Divina Jaramillo and Amanda Rodman, three young ladies who have participated in Community Living Mississauga’s Summer Programs also shared their experiences and demonstrated the impact that funds raised at previous Tribute Dinners have made in the lives of people supported by Community Living Mississauga.
Since her election as Mayor, Carolyn Parrish has focused on building a city that is inclusive, prosperous, and responsive to the needs of its people. Her leadership is defined by bold initiatives, including the Mayor’s Housing Task Force and the Malton Youth Hub.
Now in its 38th year, the annual Tribute Dinner raises much needed funds to provide opportunities for children and teens who have an intellectual disability to attend community-based recreational programs.
The 2026 Community Living Mississauga Tribute Dinner was made possible thanks to a number of community partners, including Presenting Sponsor, GLF Environmental; Diamond Sponsor, LiUNA – Ontario Provincial District Council; and Platinum Sponsor, Masters Insurance.
