Developmental Services Ontario the access point for developmental services funded by the Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services, launched an awareness campaign earlier this week entitled #myDSOjourney to help raise awareness about how the inclusion of adults who have an intellectual disability makes a strong impact.

The campaign highlights the stories of six people and how they have become more independent and active in their communities as a result of community services and resources they accessed, as well as the support they have received from those around them.

Along with launching the campaign, Developmental Services Ontario has also unveiled a new website. It provides resources and tools to help people understand how to apply for services, including step-by-step online learning modules that explain the application process.

Developmental Services Ontario is encouraging people and caregivers to share their personal stories on social media by using the hashtag #myDSOjourney.
