For over 35 years, Community Living Mississauga’s Employment Resource Centre has supported people who have an intellectual disability and employers. Supporting over 250 people and working with over 100 employers, Career Connection is committed to continuing to support and promote the value of inclusive hiring for all stakeholders but with a fresh new name and look to support our efforts.
“Planning for our new brand Career Connection started a couple of years ago. As part of our vision, we want to support people who have an intellectual disability in moving past employment and into developing a career. We also want to project who we are as a service provider and where we want to be in the future delivery of employment services. Our goal was to develop a stronger image that really resonated with all our stakeholders. It is important to highlight that we are still the same great service and support, but with a new look which will continue to drive us forward in our commitment to the delivery of employment services,” shares Urie Muratovski, Director Customer Support.
Career Connection is an opportunity to continue to engage with people supported and employers and to showcase how people who have an intellectual disability and employers can come together for a mutually beneficial relationship that fosters stronger communities.
Career Connection works with people who have an intellectual disability to reach their employment goals. Offering programs, supports and services to reach each person where they are at in their journey, Career Connection will guide people to successful outcomes.
Career Connection also works closely with businesses. Providing pre-screened, work ready employees that are invested in long-term success. Supports and services for employers are tailored to meet each business’ needs.
Career Connection is ready to continue the journey with the many stakeholders we work with and connecting with new people and partners along the way.
