A sincere thank you to all the people receiving support and their families who took the time to complete the Customer Satisfaction survey. Your feedback is invaluable in helping us improve the quality of services we provide. We also wish to acknowledge the efforts of the Quality Management Committee for their work in the survey preparation and development.
This year, the survey was distributed electronically via email, resulting in an increase in the number of surveys sent. However, the overall response rate was lower than we would have liked. The Committee will continue exploring strategies to encourage a greater survey response rate in future surveys.
Based on the data and comments provided, it appears that people continue to be satisfied with support and services throughout most areas of the organization.
Some highlighted points from the surveys include:
- The quality of service/support received in all departments is acknowledged as being the same or better from previous years.
- Lack of funding continues to be of concern
- We will continue to update people we support and their families about the advocacy efforts that Community Living Mississauga does on a regular basis outlining the need for adequate funding for the Developmental Services sector
- Communication was generally viewed as prompt and professional. A few families expressed interest in more regular meetings to discuss progress and concerns. Where requested, support staff are following up directly.
- Many families reported high satisfaction with their support staff, describing them as responsive, compassionate, professional, and respectful.
- Many survey responses included comments, which are very helpful in providing context to the answers received. Comments outlining more serious concerns were followed up on an individual basis. Likewise positive comments identifying the names of support staff were also shared as a follow up.
Biannual surveys are just one way we measure satisfaction with the supports and services provided by Community Living Mississauga. We remain committed to continuous quality improvement across all areas of our organization.
