Journey to Belonging: Choice and Inclusion lays out the Minister of Children, Community and Social Services’ long-term vision for developmental services in Ontario, where people who have developmental disabilities are supported to fully participate in their communities and live fulfilling lives.
The plan for change was developed with the input of people who have developmental disabilities, their families, service providers, academics and other sector partners. The ministry heard from hundreds of people and their message is clear – access supports and services that are available, easier to understand, and more flexible to meet individual needs.
