For years, Lucas De Sousa, has been a dedicated and passionate volunteer. Now, he has taken his commitment to new heights with #Coast2Coast4CL. Cycling across Canada, from Victoria, British Columbia to Cape Spear, Newfoundland, this ambitious campaign allows Lucas to combine his passion for adventure with his dedication to the Community Living movement.
On Monday, July 7th, Lucas stopped by Community Living Mississauga’s head office, where he was warmly welcomed by employees and supporters. During the visit, he shared stories from the road, including the challenges he has faced and the inspiring moments that keep him going. The room buzzed with excitement and admiration as Lucas answered questions and reflected on his journey so far. Lucas is demonstrating what is possible when passion meets purpose.
“While volunteering at Community Living Mississauga, Lucas served in three distinct roles to support adults living independently in Mississauga,” explained Deb Wach, Manager, Volunteer Services. “His efforts significantly enriched lives by fostering social connections, encouraging personal growth, all while promoting inclusion.”
