PARENT/ FAMILY GROUPS:

Community Living Mississauga is pleased to support parent/family groups, where parents and family members come together to share information, successes, and to connect. Come out and join the conversation! In order to participate in these groups, you and your family member must be a resident of Mississauga.

All group sessions are currently being offered virtually, and are presented on the Zoom platform.

Participation numbers will be limited so please register early.

 

Family Resource Group: 

This group is comprised of parents and family members of teens, young adults, and adults. The group meets informally every six to eight weeks, to share information and conversation. There is a suggested topic each time, but the conversation is led by family members and is free-flowing. Come on out and connect with other families!

Dates: Every second Wednesday of the month.

 

Future Planning Group: 

This group gathers for seven sessions that are designed to assist you to create a plan for the future for you or your family member who has an intellectual disability.

Dates: Every third Tuesday of the month.

 

The Tech Talk Group

The Tech Talk group is a group of people who have volunteered to come together for the purpose of testing, reviewing, and providing feedback on various technologies. The group is made up of people who are supported by Community Living Mississauga, parents and family members.

Dates: Meetings take place virtually on the last Wednesday of every month from 7 to 8 pm.
