Community Living Mississauga has been supporting individuals who have an intellectual disability in our community for more than 50 years. We assist individuals who have an intellectual disability to identify and achieve their goals and interests. Our individualized supports are based on the belief that all people can participate and contribute to their community.

Our Family Home Program is currently recruiting families or individuals to provide in-home respite. We are looking for caring families or individuals who are committed and interested in welcoming an individual who has an intellectual disability into their lives.

As a Respite Provider you would welcome an adult who has an intellectual disability into your home for a weekend or alternate period of time as required.

You would be expected to share your home with the individual being supported and include them in your personal or family life.

Interested families or individuals must live in Mississauga and have a home environment that is safe and secure where an individual will feel welcomed and where growth and independence can be fostered.

Candidates will be expected to participate in an application/ screening process.

Compensation and training are provided by Community Living Mississauga.
