Dr. Stuart Kamenetsky and Christina Dimakos’ article “COMMUNITY ON CAMPUS: A partner-ship for a more inclusive university” was recently published in Academic Matters the OCUFA’s Journal of Higher Education

The article highlights the story of a unique partnership between the University of Toronto and Community Living Mississauga. Community on Campus is an innovative program at the University of Toronto Mississauga that  supports individuals who have an intellectual disability to experience university life. Our two organizations have joined forces to promote inclusion for young adults who have an intellectual disability within a university setting. The story unfolds primarily from the perspective of the university and, as such, can inform other postsecondary institutions about the benefits of fostering the inclusion of young adults with intellectual disabilities.
