Preschool Services

Preschool Services of Community Living Mississauga provides support to facilitate the successful inclusion of children who have intellectual disabilities into their community.

Who is Eligible?

Preschoolers, aged 2-6 years, presenting concerns with cognition, and two other areas of development are eligible for service. The child must be a resident of Mississauga and attending (or planning to attend) a licensed child care program.

Our Philosophy

Our philosophy is simple.  We believe that all children belong in their community preschools and that all children should have the support and services they need to play, grow and learn alongside their peers.

Resource Teachers

Resource Teachers assist in co-ordinating professional services and facilitating community links to hospital clinicians, private therapists, agencies and school boards.

A Resource Teacher also works as a Case Manager for the family and caregiver in meeting diverse needs. These may include suggesting resources, providing information and directing them to seek funding for a variety of programs.
