Employment Resource Centre


We believe that individuals who have an intellectual disability have the right to live in the community and to actively participate in community life. Each individual, regardless of disability, should enjoy the full rights of citizenship and the full experience of membership in the community.

Services We Provide for Employers

  • Employment planning
  • Transportation will be provided both to and from
    work site
  • 1:1 job training and coaching throughout the shifts
  • Job development with specific goals of the individual
  • Job trials
  • Skill assessment

Benefits for Employers

  • Meeting to discuss personal skills and interests, as well as realistic employment options
  • Review of employer expectations
  • Two part-time shifts per week, either morning or afternoon
  • On-going communication with family and employer
  • Properly trained and experienced job coaches
  • Personal Outcome Measures interview to determine interests, goals and potential barriers
