Mr. Michael Parris - President
  Mike is currently President of Support and Trustee Advisory Services, a non-profit charity which assists parents in matters related to estate planning.  He is a Certified Financial Planner associated with Queensbury Securities.  Mike is also a member of Community Living Mississauga’s Finance Committee. Mike resides in Mississauga with his wife Nicola, and two children, Zachary and Elyse.  He has had volunteer experience with Special Olympics as well as coaching soccer and football. This will be Mike's third term on the Board of Directors.
 
Mr. Mike Pawelchuk - Past-President
  Mike is a parent who has been involved with Community Living Mississauga for 15 years. He is a former Community Living Board Director, and has been a member of the Quality Management Committee for seven years. He was also a member of the former Public Relations Committee. Mike is semi-retired and has quality management experience in telecommunications and automotive manufacturing. He has also instructed at community colleges on Quality Fundamentals and International Quality Standards. Mike, his wife Margaret, and their two children have been residents in Mississauga for over twenty years.
 
Mr. John Nevins - Vice-President
 

John is a parent who has been involved with the Quality Management Committee over the past year. Prior to his retirement he was COO of a technology company located in Kitchener with branches in the United States and Europe. He spent the majority of his career in various management and executive capacities within the carpet industry. He is Finance Chair and a former warden of St. Brides Anglican Church in Clarkson, where he has been a member since 1977. John, his wife, Lesley, and their two children have been residents of Mississauga for over 30 years. This will be John's second term on the Board of Directors.

 
Mr. Roger Wardell - Vice-President
  Roger is the New Programming Producer, a daily news show on Rogers TV, cable channel 10, serving the Region of Peel.  He has also worked as a videographer and reporter covering a gamut of stories including the Air France Plane Crash.   Sports fans may recognize him from his days as a reporter covering the Toronto Maple Leafs for AM640 and Sportsnet. Since moving on from that role, the Leafs have not made it into the playoffs! Roger, his beautiful and talented wife Maureen, and dog Rufus live in Mississauga. This is Roger's second term on the Board of Directors.
 
Mr. Beck Hoffland - Treasurer

  Beck is a partner with McCarney Greenwood LLP, Chartered Accountants. Beck has been in practice since 1980 and provides assurance, taxation and business advisory services to privately held companies. He has also spent 10 years working as a CFO with both domestic and international responsibilities. He has been a contributing writer to a number of industry periodicals, has taught at Humber College and spoken at numerous seminars and conferences. He currently sits on the Management Committee of his firm and is also responsible for setting strategic direction in the areas of Human Resources and Professional Standards, and is on the Board of Trustees of the Psychology Foundation of Canada. He is a graduate of University of Toronto at Mississauga and has been a resident of Mississauga for over 40 years. Beck is also a member of Community Living Mississauga’s Finance Committee. This is Beck’s third term on the Board of Directors.
 
Mr. Greg Symons - Secretary

  Greg's involvement with Community Living Mississauga began in 2000 when he was awarded the mandate to manage the Community Living Mississauga Foundation investment portfolio. As a Senior Wealth Advisor for ScotiaMcLeod, Greg specializes in working with clients to design and implement strategies to enhance and sustain their financial future. This includes developing a consolidated, cohesive total financial solution, including financial planning, estate planning and insurance risk analysis. Greg's interest in Community Living Mississauga expanded over the years and he has committed a great deal of his time as a volunteer with Community Living Mississauga chairing the Annual Golf Classic, Planned Giving Committee and also serves on the organization’s Annual Tribute Dinner. Greg, his wife Kathy and their children Michael and Gillian have been residents of Mississauga since 1982. This will be Greg’s first term on the Board of Directors.
 
 
Mr. Eugene Nolin

 

Eugene is the Ontario Regional Sales Manager with Datamark Systems in Mississauga, a Canadian industry leader in print and document management services. Eugene, originally from Montreal, served on the Board of Directors of the Montreal West Island Association for the Intellectually Handicapped (WIAIH) and is also a Past President of WIAIH. His committee involvement included preschool, recreational and residential services. He and his wife Carole were coordinators of the Pilot Parent program. He currently sits on the Rights Review Committee of Community Living Mississauga and he and his wife Carole, exceptional daughter Alexandra, sons Patrick and Matthew have resided in Mississauga since 1996. This will be Eugene’s first term on the Board of Directors.

 
 
Ms. Holly Pellizzer

 

Holly Pellizzer first became involved with Community Living Mississauga eight years ago when she was looking for work and was referred to the Employment Resource Centre.  Since then, Holly has been working at Famous Players Coliseum.  Holly has lived the past twenty eight years with her family in Mississauga.  She enjoys being active and involved in her community. She is a member of the Leadership group, enjoys the arts, listening to live bands, attending museums and travelling with her family. Holly looks forward to her third term on the Board of Directors.

 
 
Mr. Craig Ross

  As a lawyer with Pallett Valo, Craig Ross is a member of the firm's Wills, Estates & Trusts Practice and Family Business Law Group. Craig works closely with clients and other professional advisors to develop a customized estate plan which gives maximal effect to clients' intentions. Craig also represents and advises trustees, beneficiaries, heirs, and dependants in the administration of trusts, and in disputes that arise there from. Craig has significant experience assisting families with children who have disabilities. Craig also volunteers for Community Living Mississauga, sitting on their Rights Review Committee. Craig is also a regular speaker and writer on subjects of estate planning and planning for beneficiaries who have a disability. This will be Craig’s first term on the Board of Directors.
 
Mr. Ron Shum

 

Ron Shum was born and raised in Miami, Florida and has resided in Mississauga for the past ten years.  Ron is a graduate of the Access for Success program at Humber College. After graduation Ron volunteered for six years with the Access for Success program mentoring students.  For the past two years Ron has worked as a baker in Toronto for Lemon and Allspice. In his spare time Ron enjoys socializing with friends and traveling to such places as China, Vancouver, Miami and Edmonton.  Ron currently sits on the Rights Review committee at Community Living Mississauga and is looking forward to his first term on the Board of Directors of Community Living Mississauga.
